Commissions

Often individuals have a specific theme or subject they would like to have painted. I enjoy taking on these projects as I work closely with people who have a personal vision. These commissions usually start with a simple phone call. Arrangements are made to view the subject matter, to discuss size, media, and time lines for the project. I will spend a significant amount of time on site, photographing and sketching the subject. Additional meetings will involve viewing and discussing concept drawings, value studies, and color sketches of the subject. Upon final approval of all preliminary work, the major work will begin and be completed in the predetermined time frame. Corporate Commissions

Corporations, schools, churches, banks, and many other organizations have commissioned me to do paintings for them. They often decide to have the work of art reproduced for various uses within the organization. I go through the same process as I do with individual commissions plus I supervise all aspects of proofing, printing, inspecting, and hand numbering and signing each print. Commissions usually require more time, and due to my heavy show schedule and commitments to my galleries, I am limited to one or possibly two of these commissions each year.
