Pennsylvania, winter 1834… Noah Ashbridge rises early. There is much to
do to provide for his family. He lights a single lamp, stirs the fire,
adding a few more logs and gazes out across the pasture toward the great
pine. Rich colors of early morning light embrace the land and reveal a
splendid blanket of new fallen snow. “One more thing to do”, he sighs.
Then, closing his eyes, his thoughts drift beyond the chores of the day
to the generations of pioneers and patriots that have gone before him.
Pulling on his coat, he smiles, recalling the countless stories of their
courage and commitment. He is grateful and proud to play even a small
part in forging this great nation.
In his most recent painting,
“Winter Splendor”, artist
Richard Bollinger has painstakingly rendered this historic landmark as
it may have appeared over one hundred years ago. His ability to create
vignettes of rural life in America has won a warm place in the hearts of
art collectors across the country.
“Winter Splendor” has been
faithfully reproduced on the finest 100% acid free paper. Each print has
been personally inspected, signed and numbered by the artist.
