Annapolis
emerged
in
the
eighteenth
century
as
the
principle
seaport
of
Maryland.
In
nearly
three
and
a
half
centuries
a
great
deal
has
changed.
However,
much
remains
the
same.
While
great
cargo
vessels
now
head
to
Baltimore,
sail
makers,
boat
builders,
watermen,
and
mariners
from
around
the
world
still
long
to
anchor
in
the
quiet
water
of
Port
Annapolis.
In this unique nautical composition, watercolorist Richard Bollinger has captured this famous harbor featuring two of the bays most beloved crafts ... the watermen's work boat and the much endangered skipjack both rest at Port Annapolis.
