As the sun slowly warms the water of the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal, the tranquil village is awakened with rich golden tones. Gentle ripples appear in the harbor as if to announce the arrival of an early breeze. And the massive span that has greeted sailors from around the world also begins to take on a new glow in the morning light.
