Cope's Bridge

Just outside of Marshallton, Pennsylvania stands “Cope’s Bridge.”. Originally constructed of wood in the early 1700’s, the present stone structure that spans the east branch of the Brandywine River was built in 1807. Because of its graceful lines and reflective arches, it quickly became one of the most photographed bridges in Chester County. Artist Richard Bollinger has captured this 200 year old working landmark as it appears today under a fresh covering of winter.
